Oriana to represent the works of Arwel Hughes Oriana Publications are delighted to announce that they now represent the catalogue of Arwel Hughes.

This major addition to our catalogue further strengthens our representation of major works of Welsh music. There is a vast collection of works which will take some time to make available for sale in printed form but all titles are available for hire.

The first works to be produced in new editions for sale are the Fantasia for Strings, Gloria Patri and Tydi a'i Roddaist.

Simon Milton joins Oriana Young composer, Simon Milton, has recently joined Oriana and we wil lshortly be publishing his Concertino for Clarinet and Strings and his Piano Sonata. THese will join his already highly popular and successful Carmen Fantasie for clarinet and piano which has been recorded by Michael Collins.

Simon, who originally hails from Cornwall, writes in a techically proficient and attractive style and we hope to publish many more of his works in the future.

Serian imprint to be launched in January 2012 Our new imprint, Serian, will be launched in January 2012.

Serian will publish original works and arrangements for brass band and ensembles. The first publications to enter the Serian stable wil be Alun Hoddinott's Concerto for Percussion and Brass Band, Christopher Painter's Ceremonies of Fire (brass band) and Mervyn Burtch's Partita for Brass (brass ensemble).

Later in 2012 arrangements of Alun Hoddinott's Celebration Dances, Euphonium Concerto and Trombone Concerto will be added.

"Hanes Taliesin" (Taliesin's Tale) to be premiered in North Wales Commissioned by Sioned Eleri Roberts, Christopher Painter's Hanes Taliesin for solo clarinet and dancer will be performed in venues across North Wales as part of a project under the aegis of Ensemble Cymru which wil lalso include performances of Stockhausen's A Little Harlequin.

Individual movements of this 14 minute work will be featured in workshops and performed prior to the full premiere in March 2012.
