GARETH BLAINEY [b.1964]

Gareth Blainey is a native of North Wales and studied music at University College, Cardiff where he majored in composition, being tutored by Timothy Taylor and Richard Elfyn Jones.

After completing his initial music degree, Gareth studied for an MA at Cardiff, writing his thesis on the piano music of Bartok. Gareth Blainey is currently a broadcaster for BBC Radio Cymru .
